1. Introduction

GolfMate ID (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides golf scoring tools, tournament management, GPS-based distance measurements, community features, and analytics to support your golf experience.

These Terms govern:

  • Use of the GolfMate ID mobile app
  • Use of any related web services
  • User accounts and data
  • Interactions within tournaments, events, and social features

2. Eligibility

To use GolfMate ID, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old,
  • Agree to comply with all laws and golf course rules,
  • Provide accurate registration information.

Parents or guardians are responsible for underage users.

3. App Features

GolfMate ID may include:

  • Scorecard & Shot Tracking
  • GPS-based distance measurements
  • Tournaments & Leaderboards
  • Statistics & Performance Analytics
  • Course Information & Layouts
  • User Profile & Handicap Insights

Features may be updated or removed at any time to improve the service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Misuse or exploit scoring features to manipulate handicaps or tournament results
  • Upload harmful or offensive content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer the app
  • Share your account with others
  • Interfere with backend systems, APIs, or security mechanisms

Violation may result in account suspension.

5. Accuracy of Information

GolfMate ID provides tools to assist your golf experience. However:

  • GPS distances may vary depending on device quality
  • Course layouts may not always be up-to-date
  • Stats and analytics are estimates based on user input

We are not responsible for decisions made based on app-generated data.

6. In-App Purchases / Subscriptions (If Applicable)

Some features may require subscription or one-time purchases. All payments are processed through the App Store / Play Store.

Refunds follow the respective store’s policy.

7. Tournament Rules

If you join a tournament via GolfMate ID, you agree to:

  • Follow tournament rules provided by the organizer
  • Submit accurate scores
  • Accept that leaderboard results depend on user input

GolfMate ID is not responsible for disputes or penalties imposed by organizers.

8. Intellectual Property

All content within GolfMate ID—including UI, icons, algorithms, brand assets, text, and data structures—is owned by GolfMate ID and protected by copyright laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reproduce any part of the app.

9. Limitation of Liability

GolfMate ID is provided “as is”. We are not liable for:

  • Accuracy of GPS or shot-tracking data
  • Loss of data due to device issues
  • Injury, damage, or loss during golf activities
  • Decisions made based on app analytics
  • Cyberattacks beyond reasonable control

Use the app responsibly.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend accounts for:

  • Abuse or violations of Terms
  • Fraudulent scoring
  • Security concerns
  • Illegal activities

Users may delete their account at any time via settings.

11. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continuing to use the app signifies acceptance of the updated version.
